Below are outlines of social programs we intent to facilitate once funds are in place.

Education

Workshops for young people with low access to creative arts

  • Different aspects of filmmaking, from screenwriting to editing, taught by industry practitioners and educators.

Apprenticeships for young people with low access to creative arts and/or support needs

  • Offering experience working as part of a production company
  • Unique skills of participants employed within the  company on long term and short term projects.

Jobs

Film production requires a great number of short term contractors during a shoot, so by setting targets to hire locally, Two Headed Films provides job opportunities for locals wanting to work in filmmaking and related creative industries. The casting and hiring process will endeavour to reach individuals from marginalised groups or with support needs.

Measuring Impact

Once a CIC, Two Headed Films will be obliged to report on its social impact on a yearly basis. To ensure that it is actively aiming to achieve a positive social impact, the company shall keep detailed notes of all projects, assessing how social engagement was attempted and executed by the company, and received by the members of the targeted communities. Two Headed Films is committed to providing creative opportunities to the local area, and of providing a safe and inclusive workplace with equitable labour relations. To  achieve these goals, the company shall collect feedback from collaborators, staff and other participants, and keep careful records of hiring practices, in order to analyse and adapt its activities.
